On Tuesday 18th April 2023, 16 volunteers from South-West Trunk Roads, across Amey Transport Infrastructure and Consulting, joined forces to litter pick at Troon Beach in Ayrshire. The litter pick, held in collaboration with the Marine Conservation Society, was a success with 42 bags of litter collected from the beach, including plastic bottles, rope, and food packaging. Some of the more interesting items collected included towels, bulk bags, and a hoodie! The event was even blessed with beautiful weather, which made for some fantastic conditions.
