THIRD PARTY WORKS ON THE M8 AT CHARING CROSS COMMENCE SUNDAY 7TH JULY

Glasgow City Council, working together with Transport Scotland/Amey, will be undertaking major works at Charing Cross, impacting the M8 @ Junction 18.

Amey will be carrying out waterproofing of the M8 underpass structure/parapets, then Glasgow City Council will be undertaking walking/cycleway improvements, as well as upgrade works to the traffic signals. 

The works are scheduled to take place between the following dates and times:

•  07/07/2024 to 29/11/2024.

During this time the following TM will be in place:

• Junction 18 M8 on-slip: Closed for the duration of the works
• Junction 18 M8 off-slip: one lane of traffic maintained for the duration of the works.
